Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This policy explains what the Ali Wallpapers app for iPhone, iPad and Android (“the app”) collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. The app is made by Ali Raza (published on Google Play as DotDev), called “we” or “us” here. Questions: youaliraza@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
If you make an account (optional)
- Name and email address, to sign you in and to send password reset codes.
- Password, stored only as a secure hash. We can't read it.
- Profile photo, only if you choose to add one.
- Your library: the wallpapers, themes, widgets and other items you like, save or download, so they appear on every phone you sign in on.
- Sign-in and security records: when you sign up, sign in or out, the platform (iOS or Android), app version, device model and IP address. We use these to keep your account safe and to stop abuse.
- Pro status, so your subscription works on your account.
Photos you choose
When you pick a photo to make a wallpaper, live photo, DIY lock screen, theme, icon, widget, watch face, status bar or battery widget, the app uses it on your phone only. These photos are not uploaded to us. The only photo we receive is a profile photo you choose to upload to your account.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receives your purchase and subscription status with an app user ID, so Pro unlocks and can be restored.
Advertising
Free users see ads from Google AdMob (banner, full-screen, rewarded and app open ads). The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect your device's advertising ID (IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking; the Android advertising ID on Android), IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, ad interactions, and device and diagnostic information. It uses them to show, measure and protect ads and, where you agree, to personalize them.
- On iPhone and iPad, the app asks your permission before any tracking (App Tracking Transparency). If you say no, ads are not personalized using your advertising ID.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form first. You can change your answer later in the app: Profile → Privacy choices.
- Pro subscribers see no ads.

Analytics, crash reports and notifications
- Google Firebase Analytics: how the app is used, for example the screens opened, searches, saves and unlocks, with an app instance ID and device information (model, OS version, language, approximate country).
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: crash and error reports with device model, OS version and app state at the time.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: a push token to send you notifications about new wallpapers and themes, if you allow notifications.
- Google Firebase Remote Config: downloads app settings. It does not collect personal data from you.
2. Android features and permissions
Each of these is used only for the feature named, and most are off until you turn them on.
Accessibility service (custom status bar)
The app's custom status bar uses Android's AccessibilityService API, because Android lets only an accessibility service draw over the phone's own status bar. The service is off until you agree in the app and switch it on in Settings → Accessibility.
- It only draws the status bar you designed: time, battery, network icons and stickers.
- It listens only for “window changed” events, to hide your bar when an app goes full screen.
- It does not read, collect, store or share any content on your screen, and it never taps, types or acts for you.
- No data from this service leaves your phone.
- You can switch it off any time in Settings → Accessibility → Ali Wallpapers.
Notification access (optional, status bar)
If you turn on “Notification icons” in the status bar, the app reads the small app icons of your current notifications to draw them in your bar. It does not read notification text or content, and nothing leaves your phone.
Phone (optional, status bar)
If you allow “Phone”, the app reads only the network type (for example 4G or 5G) and signal strength to show them in your status bar. It does not read your phone number, calls, contacts or device identifiers.
Other permissions
- Display over other apps, foreground service and start after restart: to show your charging animation when you plug in your phone.
- Alarms and reminders: to update clock widgets on time.
- Set wallpaper, photos and storage: to set and save wallpapers.
- Notifications: to send you news about new content.
- Home screen and app list (Ali Launcher and icon picker): to show your apps with your theme's icons. The list of your apps stays on your phone.
iPhone and iPad
The app asks for Photos (to pick photos or save wallpapers), Camera (only if you choose to take a photo), notifications and tracking (see Advertising). Custom app icons on iPhone are added through a configuration profile that you install yourself in Settings; it only adds home screen shortcuts with your chosen icons.
3. How we use information
- To run the app and its features, and to sync your library to your account.
- To sign you in, reset your password and keep accounts secure.
- To provide subscriptions and restore purchases.
- To show ads to free users.
- To understand how the app is used, fix crashes and improve the app.
- To send notifications you allowed.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that run parts of the app for us:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Google (AdMob, Firebase) | Ads, analytics, crash reports, notifications, app settings |
| RevenueCat | Subscriptions and restoring purchases |
| Apple, Google Play | Payments for subscriptions |
| Our hosting and storage providers | Our servers and the wallpapers and profile photos we store |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the app and its users from fraud or abuse.
Some US state laws may treat personalized advertising as “sharing” or “targeted advertising”. You can opt out as described in section 7.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data (name, email, photo, library, sign-in records) is kept while your account exists and is deleted when you delete your account.
- Firebase keeps analytics data for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days.
- Advertising and subscription providers keep data under their own policies.
6. Delete your account
In the app: Profile → Delete account, then enter your password. This deletes your account right away, with your name, email, password, profile photo, library, devices and sign-in records. You can also ask us by email; see Delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
7. Your choices and rights
- Personalized ads: on iPhone, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, Settings → Google → Ads (Privacy → Ads on some phones), where you can delete your advertising ID. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland: in the app, Profile → Privacy choices.
- Notifications and permissions: you can turn them off any time in your phone's settings.
- Access, correction, deletion and other rights: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, to object to or limit some uses, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email us at youaliraza@gmail.com from your account's email and we will reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Where the GDPR applies, we use your data to provide the app you asked for (contract), for our legitimate interests in keeping it secure, fixing crashes and understanding use, and with your consent for personalized ads and notifications.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
9. Security and transfers
The app talks to our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and passwords are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries, with the safeguards the law requires.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app.
